These boys were awesome. They were a little less than excited to leave their brand new trampoline and join me for a photography session but in the end they totally rocked it.

Garages are honestly one of my most favourite places to shoot. While the surroundings are less than perfect, the lighting is amazing. The idea behind these sessions is to capture an honest portrait. One that truly captures the subject. For a limited time I will be offering these sessions for $150. This will include a 20 minute session and 10 high resolution images. A perfect gift for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.
For many reasons, it has been a very long time since I have posted in here. I am working on a plan to increase my time here. A plan to make what has been a small business, a little bit bigger. You could say these plans are more of a dream right now but I have to start somewhere. Some day soon I will share.
Today I will post a few pictures of my boys. Life with boys is so very different than life with girls. My girls were happy to hold a pencil. My boy freaks when one is placed anywhere near him. My girls were so excited when their school readers came home. My boy breaks down when asked to get his reader out of his back pack. My girls drew and painted. My boys build and wrestle. My girls got dressed in the morning without a fight. The boys and I are in full battle every morning. I am thankful for the differences but shifting between girls and boys can sometimes be tough.
This morning I captured them just being them. Jasper had been asked to get dressed many times. I gave up and just grabbed my camera. The battle still happened but I was happy that I had a few shots of my life with boys. It was a wrestling, underwear on head, jumping on bed, kinda morning.
He really is the busiest two year old I have ever met. He finds trouble wherever he is and super sneaky and quiet about it. He pushes me to my limit every.singe.day.
Then there is the other side. The side I have to hold onto because he is my last. The side I have to remember when I find him applying my very expensive cream to his entire body. The side that makes strangers on the street smile.
This is Archie.
It is crazy cold out there. Really quite ridiculous. There is no winter play happening, my camera has not seen the outdoors in quite sometime, and I am going a little stir crazy!
I am super excited about my upcoming True Colours Sessions. I have a few spots left! If you are interested, please contact me at lisa.tullett@sympatico.ca
I will also be offering some mini sessions for the month of February. My very talented friend Tarja of www.connectionknits.com has kindly offered the use of her amazing luxury blankets for these shoots. Her handmade creations are beautiful and are the perfect companion on these cold winter days.
I will be offering these shoots on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Each session will be 20 minutes long and will include 10 high resolution files and 2 5x7 prints. Please contact me at lisa.tullett@sympatico.ca to book an appointment.
Here are a few samples from my Under the Blanket mini sessions.
Space is limited!
On a crazy cold day like today it is nice to remember this beautiful cottage wedding. Emma and Eric were married at Emma's family cottage. The day was perfect. Beautiful sunshine, stunning bride, and the sweetest groom.
I have been working away on putting together a little personal year in review. I am going to start with our summer today. I took a ton of photos and today they are making me smile. We are very fortunate to spend a great deal of time at our new family cottage. A huge thank you to my mom and dad for giving us this amazing place.
Wendy and Mike live in a beautiful home with their three amazing kids. This is the third shoot that I have done with this family and I look forward to my time with them every year. I photograph them in their home and I document them just doing what they do. Thank you so making my job so much fun!
I am so thankful for my incredible clients. My job doesn't feel like a job because of them and I am constantly motivated to do better for them. I have some new plans for my photography this year that I will be sharing soon!
To all of you that trust me with your family memories, thank you. I adore you and look forward to our time together.
I photographed this family back in the Fall and their story is a very special one. Thank you Evans family for a wonderful session!
As a child my dad read us The Night Before Christmas every Christmas Eve. Loving this tradition, I have tried to start it with my own kids. Last year... success. This year... GONG show. Craig videotaped the whole ordeal and we both had a good laugh. This image says it all.
My husband grew up skiing. I did not. My husband has some incredible memories at Holimont skiing. I do not...at least I didn't until now.
In November, our family made the decision to dive into the ski world with both feet. We rented a place on the hill, purchased our trial membership, and loaded up on all the gear. None of this seemed very real until I was buying my ski suit. I can admit now, that I was very nervous about how all of this was going to go.
Four kids...two have skied. Two have not. Two parents. One a great skier. The other not so much. Add in diapers, naps, packing for a family of six, waiting in line at the border, and the dreaded chair lift ride (totally freaked out by the getting on and getting off) and this mommy was freaking out!
Our adventure began December 28. We started slowly. Each kid had some time with Daddy on the hill getting comfortable and I didn't put my feet in a pair of ski boots until all 4 were good to go.
On our fourth day there, we headed out as a family. All six of us... skis, boots, poles. We drove to the learning hill and the kids were more than excited to see Mommy ski. They had all kinds of tips for me but all I could think about was getting on and off that damn chair lift. The first few runs were much better than I had anticipated. Not only did I not fall on my face but I actually felt pretty good.
Over the course of the day the kids took me to some different hills. They raced down each one and I took my time. It was pretty cool to let my kids teach me for a change. I was in no rush to catch up. Life slowed down on the hill for me and I realize now how much I needed that.
During our holiday things just got better and better. We got into a bit of a rhythm, we spent time with great friends, and discovered just how amazing this place is. It is a place where the whole family gets to play. A place where new things are learned everyday, and a place where everyone is happy. Oh and the après ski totally rocks!
I am so thankful that Craig pushed me a little do something outside of my comfort zone. My good friend Linda told me that they really feel that joining Holimont was one of the best decisions they have made as a family. I am right there with you Linda.
Sadly, most of my ski pictures vanished from my phone. However, I did manage to capture some of the little moments on my big camera that made this trip so very cool.
And a few from my phone...
It happens every year. Halloween ends and overnight the stores transform into a holiday wonderland. I will admit that my head starts to spin a wee bit as I think about all I need to do to make this holiday magical for my family. One of my traditional gifts is a photo book of the grandchildren for my parents. I love giving it to them but I think I like putting it together just as much. It reminds me that my kids are pretty cool.
This holiday I am giving you two options to get those kids captured!
1. A Full Family Session. I can do this in your home or outside or a mix of both. I will shoot for about 1-1.5 hours and give you disc complete with 40-60 colour and black and white high resolution images. This session is $400. (travel fees may apply)
2. A Holiday Mini Session. This session is for kids only! I will come to your home and photograph your kids. I will shoot for about 30 minutes and give you a disc complete with 15-20 (depends on the number of children) colour and black and white high resolution images. This session is $195.
Please do not let the "I will shoot in your home" send you into a panic. It does not mean that you need to clean up every square inch of your home. I really just need some great window light. I can make any space work!
Let's cross some gifts off that list!!!
The Memory Market has gone through a few changes this month. My business name is now Lisa Tullett Photography and this is my new home for all things photography. I thought it was time to attach my name to my work. That's it.
This site will be a work in progress for a little while, so please be patient.
Fall is always a busy time for me and this year is no exception. I am thrilled to be back at it and the families I have been working with this season have been amazing. A huge thank you to all of my wonderful clients. This job does not feel like a job because of you!
This family was new to me this Fall. Their students gave them a photo session with me as a baby gift. It is no secret that they are adored by their school family. Here are a few photos from our session.
